Cooperation between parliaments of Moldova, China actively develop on last period

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Moldova Zhang Yinghong, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The officials reviewed the cooperation between the parliament of Moldova and the National People’s Congress (parliament) of China, which has witnessed an active development on the last period. The sides stressed that the last autumn visit to China by Speaker Zinaida Greceanii had represented an impetus to the development of the bilateral ties.
In another context, the ambassador informed the parliament speaker about the measures of control of the Coronavirus (CoV) epidemic from the Hubei province of Central China and of preventing its spread, as well as the ones of cooperation and mutual informing with the international organizations and other states’ authorities.
Zinaida Greceanii confirmed the importance of a close cooperation internationally, in order to solve this problem. She voiced confidence that the Chinese state had enough capacities, which meet the highest standards existing in the health care sector, in order to overcome this situation as soon as possible. At the same time, the speaker emphasized that Moldova’s authorities had undertaken needed preventive measures to protect their citizens and the citizens other states who temporarily or permanently stay on the territory of the country.
”We are further interested in the development of cooperation with China in all fields, including the tourism one, which has good prospects,” Zinaida Greceanii noted.
In the context, the Chinese ambassador thanked the parliament of Moldova for the ratification of the amendment to the Article 38 of the Statute of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), according to which the Chinese languages becomes official language of UNWTO.
