Each mayoralty of Moldova to receive at least one million lei to restore roads

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - The restoration of roads will be carried out in each settlement, no matter the mayor’s political affiliation. President Igor Dodon made statements to this effect at a programme on a private TV channel on 4 February evening.

The head of state said that a coefficient would be set for roads’ rehabilitation and one billion lei will be earmarked for the national programme on roads’ restoration. “The smallest mayoralty will receive at least one million lei,” Dodon noted.

The president also said that, in 2020 too, illumination systems would be constructed in each village of Moldova, - about 1,000 km all over the country. The money for the implementation of these national projects will be spent from the state budget.

”Money is stipulated for these national projects in the budget and the works will start once the weather allows this,” Dodon added.
