Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - The works of construction of the Chisinau belt road will start in next May-June and the money will be taken from a loan due to be provided to Moldova by Russia. President Igor Dodon has made statements to this effect at a TV programme.
The head of state said that the repair of three out of those six segments of the belt road would begin this year. It is about the segments: Orhei Bridge – Calea Iesilor Street (Catalan); Leuseni intersection (to the right) – Ialoveni (to the left) and then further to the Ialoveni town.
The Moldovan president specified that almost 340 km of roads would be repaired from the Russian loan. “We asked for a credit line of 300-500 million dollars. I think this money will come to Moldova in late February-early March,” Dodon noted.
Igor Dodon also said that each settlement of Moldova would be included in the national programme on roads’ restoration, no matter the mayors’ political affiliation. The smallest mayoralty will receive at least one million lei for restoration of roads.
