Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - The faction of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM) informed about the legislative priorities for the parliament’s 2020 spring session, at a news briefing today.
PDM leader Pavel Filip said that the care for people remained the priority No 1 of the Democrats. “At this session, we will support and initiate draft laws on the improvement of the people’s living standards and we will monitor the evolution of the projects we have earlier initiated on this dimension. We mean here, first of all, the quality education, modern medicine, social assistance (aid, allocations, allowances) and infrastructure (roads, illumination, water and sewerage, sanitation). We will also work in continuation to improve the business environment and ensure economic growth,” Filip noted.
Among the priorities set forth by the Democrats’ leader, there is the fight against corruption and justice reform, as well as the maintaining of Moldova’s European vector. “PDM remains a pro-European party; we consider that Moldova’s European integration is irreversible and, at the same time, the only way of our country’s development. We further want good relations with the neighbours: Romania and Ukraine, as well as the strengthening of the strategic partnership with the USA,” Pavel Filip said.
The PDM leader also said that the formation he leads would remain in opposition, but will back the good initiatives of other political forces.
