Moldovan cabinet approves methodology of financing public organizations in research, innovation sectors

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - The government, at a today’s meeting, approved the methodology of institutional financing of the public law organizations from the research and innovation sectors.  

The methodology regulates the way of financing, provided from the state budget, to public law organizations from the research and innovation fields, including to the state higher education institutions, for the maintenance and development of the public infrastructure in the research and innovation sectors, as well as for the related staff expenses.  

Under the cabinet’s decision, “the financing’s goal is to ensure the institutional consolidation, improve the public infrastructure in the research and development innovation fields, favour the excellence in the research and innovation sectors, upgrade the staff policy in the aforementioned fields, in order to enhance the scientific potential.”    

The percentage quantum of the institutional financing of all spending for the research and innovation fields is established in the national programme in the research and innovation sectors for 2020-2023, approved by cabinet decision.  

The financial means meant for the institutional financing are approved annually under the state budget law and distributed by the state’s central specialty body, which provides the working out of the national policy in the research and innovation sectors, according to the subordination of the public law organizations from the research and innovation fields.
