Moldovan PM chairs cabinet meeting

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, informed about the successful completion of the discussions with the IMF Mission and the friendly circumstances for the signing of a new programme with the International Monetary Fund. Chicu specified that no commitments hitting the progress of the national economy had been taken, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

„Moldova’s economy has become immune to the unstable political situation, which is proved by the results recorded in 2019,” Ion Chicu said.

Seventeen subjects were on the agenda of the government meeting. Among the drafts approved, there was the methodology of financing of the public law organizations from the research and innovation sectors, as well as the Medium Term State Debt Management Programme (2020-2022).    

Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu unveiled the single programme of the mandatory health insurances.

The project’s goal is to improve the access to the qualitative and fair medical services. The programme takes into account the new technologies needed for the accurate establishment of the diagnosis and carrying out the proper treatment. The programme will have national impact and will help including the beneficiaries of the services of dialysis, chemotherapy and ocular prosthesis.   

The government approved the technical concept of the automated information system, Electronic Monitoring of Sales. The project implies digitalization of the electronic register of sales and possibility of the online control of transactions. The system’s implementation will generate electronic bills and is a stage of optimization and modernization of the processes of record, management and monitoring of sales. The system’s enforcement will determine the placement on market of new technical solutions and will simplify the administration of processes both for economic agents and the Fiscal Service.      

The Justice Ministry unveiled a draft law on the procedure of finding out of infringements in the field of money laundering and financing terrorism, as well as measures of preventing this kind of infringements. The draft law established including the way the sanctions are enforces. The provisions of a string of European norms in this field are transposed through the document’s approval.   

At the meeting, the cabinet approved a string of appointments, among which a deputy director general of the National Food Safety Agency and accepted the resignation of the deputy director general of the Public Property Agency.
