Moldovan MPs make amendments to 22 laws

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today voted a draft law on amendments to 22 laws. The amendments are meant to strengthen the mechanism of efficient implementation of the system of domestic public financial control.
Under the draft, the amendments are aimed at adjusting the notions used in the law on domestic public financial control. “Thus, the notions “financial management and control”, “declaration on good governance” and “internal audit unit” will be replaced by the notions “managerial domestic control,” “declaration of managerial responsibility” and respectively, “internal audit subdivision.”
Also at the today’s meeting, the lawmakers ruled to return to the old legislative provisions regarding the responsibility for the risks caused by dangerous industrial objects. Thus, the sum of responsibility for eventual damages will be established based on the results of the risks’ evaluation and at the carriage of dangerous substances through settlements, the size of the sum insured will be established proceeding from the maximally possible dangers in case of injury or accident of transport means.
Also, the size of the sanctions will be cut to 15-30 conventional units for the people with responsible offices, with fine imposed against the legal entity of 48-60 conventional units. In a period of nine months after the publication of the new legal provisions, the government will adopt the normative acts on the settlement of the mechanism of establishing the sums insured, depending on the risks specific to the insurance contract for the dangerous industrial objects.
