Winter conditions in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/- There are winter conditions in the country with icy roads. Authorities recommend drivers to properly equip their cars and follow the recommendations of the National Patrol Inspectorate.

According to State Road Administration, last night in the country there were air temperatures up to -10 degrees Celsius. To avoid disruption of traffic, at night 125 technical units and 207 workers intervened, spreading 1,897 tons of non-slip material.

Exdrupo company worked last night with 37 special vehicles, cleaning the snow and spreading the skid. On the streets of the municipality were sprinkled 247 tons of slip and 4.5 tons of salt.

For the next days, meteorologists forecast air temperatures of up to -6 degrees Celsius during the day, and at night up to -13 degrees Celsius. It will snow in some areas. Air temperatures will gradually increase over the weekend.
