Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s delegation on 6 February chaired a working meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) in Bender, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The main subject promoted by the Moldovan delegation for consideration within JCC was focused on the condemnation of the unilateral activities of the Transnistrian structures, the goal of which is to set a so-called “border” in the Security Zone.
Five cases of abusive setting of mobile “border guards” posts were recorded in the perimeter of the Bender and Varnita settlements, recognized as district with enhanced security regime, in last January alone. In continuation, representatives of the Transnistrian side maintain blockage in the movement of military observers on the spot and in the discussion of infringements.
Also, based on a collective addressing by citizens from the villages of Cosnita, Parata, Dorotcaia and Pohrebea, Moldova’s delegation submitted to the sides a petition on the work of the posts of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces, placed on the banks of the Dniester river nearby the Vadul lui Voda settlement. The participants in the meeting said that the taking of a decision on the re-placement, re-arrangement and re-subordination of these posts will optimize the free movement of residents and will diminish the risk of worsening of the situation on the central segment of the Security Zone. The sides will return to considering the subject at the next meetings.
The sides failed to reach common position either on the issue of coordinating activities planned by the Land Relations and Cadastre Agency, for the creation of ortho pictures on ground, which implies the use of a flying apparatus over the central zone of Moldova, including the Transnistrian segment.
The participants in the meeting approved reports by the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone for the periods 22-28 January and 29 January-4 February 2020.
