Moldovan president has meeting with speaker of people's assembly of Gagauzia

Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with the speaker of the People’s Assembly (local parliament) of Gagauzia, Vladimir Kîssa, the presidential press service has reported.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues on the social and economic life of the autonomy. Vladimir Kîssa thanked the Moldovan president for participation in discussions with Gagauz lawmakers, held in Comrat on 21 January.
In the context of the political dialogue, the sides considered the issue on the adoption by the Moldovan parliament of a package of normative acts on the adjusting of the regional legislation to the national one.
In particular, Igor Dodon informed that the President’s Apparatus has worked out proposals and they would be soon submitted, as legislative initiatives, to a working group, made up of Moldovan MPs and lawmakers of the Gagauz people’s assembly, for preliminary discussions.
