Holiday aid to become permanent

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/- Holiday aid provided by authorities will become permanent and will be included in the law. President Igor Dodon made the statement at the end of the working meeting with Speaker Zinaida Greceanii and Prime Minister Ion Chicu.
The president said that the support provided by the authorities was appreciated by citizens and should be mandatory, which is why there will be levers for this clause to be included in the law.
Low-income citizens have benefited from a support of 700 lei on winter holidays. The first such initiative came last year from the PDM leadership. In 2019, Moldovans who had incomes below 2,000 lei received 600 lei each for Christmas and Easter.
