Eligibility criteria for social assistance to be re-assessed

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/- The eligibility criteria for social assistance will be re-assessed so that more people can benefit from the support. President Igor Dodon made the statement today at the end of a working meeting with Speaker Zinaida Greceanii and Prime Minister Ion Chicu.

The president noted that the current criteria for receiving social assistance are too strict, especially for the elderly.

Dodon said that it will be subject to re-evaluation not only the list of criteria for social assistance, but also the list of beneficiaries, as people able to work, but who do not want to find a job for various reasons, be excluded from the list.
