Study on Generations and Gender launched in Moldova's capital

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry today informed that it launched a study about Generations and Gender, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
At a conference on the study’s launch, the state secretary, Nelea Rusu, said that the opinion poll would be conducted in 153 Moldovan settlements, with more than 20,000 citizens of various ages due to be interviewed. About 100 territory operators will get involved in the process and the data will be collected in January-June 2020.
According to Rusu, the study launched today will be the most complex research on the demographic transformations in Moldova, evolution of the relations between generations, citizens’ attitude towards health, involvement of elderly people in the social life and other gender-related aspects. The information collected will serve for the elaboration of public policies for the next years.
Similar studies were made with UNFPA’s support in 24 countries from all over the world.
