Moldova's Customs Service launches contact point for foreign trade

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service (SV) today launched the contact point for foreign trade, as part of the Single Call Centre. At this point, economic agents will benefit from information from the first source on the customs legislation.
The director of the Customs Service, Sergiu Burduja, also attended the event on the launch of the contact point.
According to Burduja, the contact point meets the provisions of the Agreement on Trade Facilitation and of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union. The point was set up through the reorganization and modernization of SV’s Single Call Centre, with the support of the USAID Programme for Structural Reforms in Moldova.
Sergiu Burduja noted that the point was a national instrument of informing for economic agents involved in the international commerce, for authorities, as well as for other interested sides, which will benefit from sure information, from the first source, on the customs legislation, customs regimes and destinations, declaring of goods, their classification and origin, permissive acts, rules of carrying goods and transport means across the border.
