Moldovan president asks to identify reserves to cut gas tariffs

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with the head of the Administrative Board of the Moldovagaz stock company, Vadim Ceban.

According to the presidential press service, the sides discussed the present situation in the gas supply system. The officials ascertained, with satisfaction, the improvement of the enterprise’s financial indexes, including the lack of current debt for natural gas.

At the meeting, the sides highlighted the incoherence of the statements on the increase in the gas tariffs for end consumers, given the lack of premises in this respect in 2020, including in the context of the discussions held with the monitoring mission of the International Monetary Fund.

Also, Igor Dodon asked Vadim Ceban to identify reserves for reducing the gas tariff.
