Working groups for social, humanitarian assistance problems from two banks of Dniester hold meeting

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - A new meeting of the experts from the working groups for social and humanitarian assistance problems took place at the Tiraspol-based headquarters of the OSCE Mission in Moldova today.
The delegation on behalf of Chisinau was led by State Secretary at the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry Djulieta Popescu.
At the meeting, the experts from both banks of Dniester held consultations on potential ways and procedures, due to be carried out to solve the problems of children at risk and who were identified without parental care, so as to subsequently undertake appropriate protection measures: return to a permanent place of residence, distribution to a specialized placement centre, establishment of guardianship.
Experts said that the interaction on such cases implied processing of personal data, which imposes the agreeing on ways of expressing consent for the processing of data of the concerned subjects. The sides agreed that, to ensure the compliance with the international standards and the current requirements in the concerned sector, additional consultations would take place with the competent institutions, after which the dialogue will be continued on the platform of the sectoral working groups.
The next meeting of the working groups for social and humanitarian assistance problems will be held in Chisinau.
