Foreign minister meets German Economic Team representatives

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Aureliu Ciocoi discussed with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger and German Economic Team leader (GET) Dr. Ricardo Giucci assistance projects implemented in Moldova, the MAEIE press service has reported.

Ciocoi welcomed the support through GET consultancy in the economic development and reforms. The consulting areas of GET Moldova are: macroeconomic analysis, private sector development, energy sector development, financial market development. An important sector of consultancy is related to tariff quotas for trade between Moldova and the EU in the context of the DCFTA and the comparative analysis of the implementation of DCFTA in Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia. Also, in cooperation with the European Business Association, GET has worked out a policy study to strengthen the investment climate in Moldova.

At the same time, GET Moldova is involved in strengthening Moldovan-German economic cooperation, as being the focal point and providing knowledge and information on the economic situation in Moldova to the German government, German companies and other German organizations.

German Economic Team Moldova (GET Moldova) is a project set up in 2010 by the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany, jointly with the independent German economic policy consulting center, Berlin Economics.
