Moldovan-Azeri intergovernmental commission for trade, economic cooperation to resume activity

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Chicu met today with Gudsi Osmanov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moldova.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, Chicu approached development of bilateral relations and appreciated the discussion of late 2019 with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov. He confirmed Moldova’s goal to boost theeconomic relations between the two states. "We are willing to get and offer the best conditions to Azeri investors in Moldova. We will actively support business intentions that will generate jobs and competitive services and products ”, he said.
Osmanov expressed his country's intention to mutually advantageous cooperation.
The event was focused on issues such as organizing a forum of business people as a communication platform for entrepreneurs of both countries, prospects of cooperation in energy and transport. It was also agreed to resume the meetings of the Moldovan-Azeri Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation. Its last meeting was held in 2012 in Chisinau.
