Moldovan parliament speaker meets Chisinau general mayor, deputy mayor

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today had a meeting with the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, and the deputy mayor, Victor Chironda, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The goal of the meeting was to consider possibilities of legislative support for strengthening the capacities of the local public administration, in order to efficiently manage the problems of Moldova’s capital.  

Zinaida Greceanii made several proposals, which can be enforced proceeding from the limits of the parliament’s competences, in order to solve more problems faced by the Chisinau residents.

The sides referred, in particular, to the need to extend the capacities of parking, efficient waste management, responsibility of the owners of real estate as to the arrangement and maintenance of the real estate and the adjacent areas, enhancing the degree of security and ennobling of public areas, etc.  

The proposals launched are to be formulated and submitted in accordance with the provisions of the legislation in force.
