Moldovan president attends enlarged meeting of College of Intelligence and Security Service

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon has participated in an enlarged meeting of the College of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS), the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state welcomed the SIS leadership and staff. He noted that the 2019 year had been quite complicated and full of challenges; yet, the leadership has managed to overcome the crisis, including due to the professionalism and patriotism of the SIS employees.
At the same time, Igor Dodon highlighted the active involvement of the Service in the prevention of risks, in combating the threats and subversive aspirations, triggered by extremist forces both of Moldova and from abroad.
In the context of Moldova’s priorities for 2020, the president pointed out the ensuring of stability and continuing the processes of the society’s reformation. Dodon also warned about the fact that new risks and threats would be to Moldova’s independence, including from abroad.
Igor Dodon reiterated also the need to use all legal leverages, in order to counteract the actions of limiting the efficiency and functionality of the state bodies.
