Working groups for healthcare from two banks of Dniester hold meeting in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - Experts of the working groups for healthcare today assembled in Chisinau to discuss up-to-date subjects in the sector, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

The agenda included topics on potential ways of interaction in the pharmaceutical field, implementation of the requirements at the import/consumption of medicines, providing social assistance to people infected with HIV/AIDS at regional social centres.

At the discussions, the experts reiterated openness to maintain an efficient dialogue for solving the aforementioned problems, by exchanging information and experience on aspects dealing with the control of medicines’ quality and healthcare.   

Traditionally, the experts on behalf of Chisinau stressed the need to observe the stages of quality control and distribute on market only medicines which meet the international standards, in order not to endanger the people’s health and life.

In this respect, the experts expressed interest and willingness to participate in training courses on quality analysis and control according to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, with the involvement of international experts from the World Health Organization.   

Also, the experts exchanged information on the work of the regional social centres which provide assistance to the people infected with HIV/AIDS. At the same time, the Moldovan side emphasized willingness to further cooperate and provide assistance to the Transnistrian region within the national programmes on the prevention and control of the HIV/AIDS infection.
