Today - last day of registration for candidates in constituency Hancesti

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/- Today is the last day of registration for candidates in uninominal constituency Hâncești.

The Central Election Commission announced that today is the last day for submission of documents for registration of candidates for the position of MP on the uninominal constituency No 38, Hâncești municipality. The electoral bodies will receive the documents for registration of candidates until 5 pm.

If two or more candidates submit documents for registration on this day at 18.00, the electoral body shall be convened to organize the drawing and determining the pre-order to enrollment in the ballot.

So far, 7 candidates have been registered in Hancesti constituency.

On 15 March, residents of constituency No38 Hancesti will again vote, after Democratic MP Alexandru Botnari elected on 24 February 2019 resigned as MP for mayor of Hancesti.

According to the electoral law, if a deputy elected in a uninominal constituency resigns, new parliamentary elections are held there.
