Physicians from Turkey to carry out Health Weeks in south Moldova Gagauz autonomy

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/ - The residents of the Autonomous Territorial Unit (UTA) Gagauz-Yeri will have possibility to be consulted by physicians from Turkey. The deputy governor of the autonomy, Olesea Tanasoglo, and decision-makers from the Turkish Ministry of Health have recently reached an agreement to this effect.
The assistance of foreign physicians will be organized in so-called Health Weeks, held by physicians from Turkey. Patients’ consultations will be carried out in hospitals of the autonomy, according to the website www.gagauzinfo.md.
Also, the sides agreed on organizing recycling courses for physicians from UTA Gagauzia.
In the last years, Turkey had backed more social projects in the Gagauz autonomy, including on the reconstruction and modernization of medical objects.
