Warm weather, with rains in central, northern regions expected in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ - Meteorologists forecast a weekend with air temperatures of up to +10 Celsius degrees and rains in the central and northern Moldova, according to the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS).  

According to meteorologists, the air temperature will oscillate between +3 and +10 degrees during the day on the days to come. At the same time, at the night to 16 February, frost is expected all over Moldova - -5 degrees in northern regions and -3 – -4 degrees in the central and southern parts.

Short rains are possible in the districts from central and northern Moldova on 15 February. In the rest of the regions, variable cloud, preponderantly sunny weather is expected.

On 14 February, the old-style Orthodox Christians celebrate the Saint Tryphon. This day is regarded as the first holiday of the agricultural, fruit-growing and vine calendar and deals with the time of marking the transition from winter to spring.
