President of Albania to pay official visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a meeting with Prime Minister of Albania, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Edi Rama, during his working visit to Munich, Germany, the presidential press service has reported.

The officials discussed more issues on the bilateral agenda, noting the need to strengthen the commercial and economic relations and the political contacts at the high level, including within international organizations.

Given that, within its OSCE chairmanship, Albania will participate in the Transnistrian settlement process, the sides discussed the current situation and prospects for the advancement of this process, as well as Albania’s priorities for this year.

At the same time, Igor Dodon stressed that Moldova was firmly determined to carry out the justice reform, stressing, in this respect, the experience of other countries, including Albania’s one.

In the end of the meeting, the interlocutors referred to the preparation of an official visit to Moldova by President of Albania Ilir Meta, due in early next April.
