President of Bulgaria to pay official visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boiko Borisov, during his visit to Munich, Germany.
According to the presidential press service, the officials highly appreciated the cooperation between the two states in the sectors of trade, economy, culture, humanitarian issues, tourism and education fields.
Also, the sides emphasized with satisfaction the contacts established at the level of the two countries’ top leaderships. In the context, the interlocutors discussed an official visit to Moldova by President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, scheduled for the next spring, and spoke out for boosting the bilateral cooperation at the level of parliaments.
In another context, the officials stressed the important role of the Bulgarian community from Moldova, which has about 52,000 people, in the strengthening of the relations between the two states. In the context, the head of state thanked the Bulgarian partners for the assistance provided to implement social and humanitarian projects in the southern Taraclia district.
Referring to the economic cooperation between the two countries, Igor Dodon urged the Bulgarian partners to invest in infrastructure projects, as well as in other priority projects, announced by Moldova’s top leadership.
