National Youth Council of Moldova signs cooperation agreement with National Employment Agency

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - The National Youth Council of Moldova (NYCM) today signed a cooperation agreement with the National Employment Agency (ANOFM).   

Under the document, the two institutions will carry out activities, joint services or programmes, in order to connect young people without occupation to the labour force market. It is about interventions for the identification, contacting and involvement of inactive or jobless young people and supply of services or support delivered nearby them.    

The ANOFM director, Raisa Dogaru, has said that “the integration of young people on the labour market, their education and development of their capacities are crucial for the development of a prosperous, sustainable and fair society socially and economically.” According to Dogaru, namely the agency she leads has an important role in the carrying out of local intervention strategies, for identifying young people without occupation and their involvement in employment measures.     

The cooperation agreement between the two structures was signed at a workshop organized with the financial support of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Attending the event were representatives of district subdivisions for labour force employment, National Youth Council and ILO.
