Moldovan parliament speaker receives citizens in audience

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament speaker will monthly receive citizens in audience, in order to discuss the problems they are facing and identify solutions to them. The initiative belongs to Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
”This practice must be permanent; we should discuss with people and learn their troubles and expectations. So far, we have received citizens in audience in the territory; but in continuation I will communicate not only as MP, but also as parliament speaker,” Zinaida Greceanii said.
According to Greceanii, the people who came in audience today tackled including system problems, which need authorities’ involvement. In particular, the citizens unveiled problems of children with hearing deficiencies, integrated into the general education without the additional support which they need. Also, presently, there is an acute deficit of translators into body language and the closing of specialized institutions and the cutting of the number of children there led to a decrease in the number of young people able to live without guardianship.
The situation at the Botanical Garden, Alexandru Cibotaru institute was another subject approached at the meeting with the parliament speaker. At the end of the discussions, Zinaida Greceanii said that she would provide support to the institution, which is Moldova’s national heritage, including through involvement of parliament’s employees in works of maintaining the Botanical Garden.
Representatives of the former National College of Vine Growing and Wine Making from Stauceni claimed debts in the payment of salaries, infringement of the Labour Code by the administration of the institution under reorganization. The situation hit about 40 people and is to be communicated to the government.
