Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today summoned a working meeting at the Presidency with decision-makers from the Termoelectrica enterprise, Chisinau city hall and Moldova-Gaz stock company, following hundreds of messages received from Chisinau residents, who voiced discontent with the reception of bills with increased prices for heating for last January, in order to clear up the situation, the presidential press service has reported.
Igor Dodon said that, given that high air temperatures had been recorded in January 2020 and the price for gas did not grow, it was not clear why people should pay more for the thermal energy.
The Moldovan president asked to carry out a deep analysis of the emerged situation. The head of state received assurances that the bill for February would be by 23-30 per cent lower than on the same period of the last year and against January 2020. Also, the president warned that otherwise, decision-makers would resort to the dismissal of Termoelectrica’s leadership.
