Moldovan foreign minister meets European official

Chisinau, 19 february /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Aureliu Ciocoi met on Tuesday with Luc Pierre Devigne, Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia and OSCE in the European External Action Service (EEAS). The official is on a working visit to Chisinau to co-chair the 5th meeting of Moldova-EU Association Committee, the MAEIE’s press service has reported.
Ciocoi opted for boosting cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, especially in the areas that bring direct benefits to Moldovan citizens. He said “The Association Committee is the first meeting within the institutionalized political dialogue of the Republic of Moldova - EU this year. I am sure the discussions will allow colleagues from Brussels to be fully informed about the authorities' actions on the implementation of the Association Agreement. The reforms based on this agreement remain a major priority for Moldova ”.
Also, the officials exchanged views on judicial reform, fight against corruption and economic development in Moldova.
