Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/- Young people from different regions of the country, who are already planning or developing agricultural entrepreneurial activities, will be trained in order to start and manage their businesses efficiently. The training will include 240 young people, aged between 18 and 35, who live or work in rural areas.
According to the Association for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, the training program, as well as other activities aimed at young people, will be carried out in the next nine months as part of the project Innovative educational activities and methods for young people from the regions, implemented by Association for Promotion of Entrepreneurship (APA), with the support of USAID/APM.
The training activities will comprise issues related to the registration of an enterprise, efficient use of financial, material and technical resources, application of innovative methods of investment in business, stimulation of creation and development of complex enterprises, use of advanced technologies in the production of goods and services.
According to APA, activities organized with USAID / APM support will help identify young people with initiative, who will be encouraged and helped start new businesses or grow existing businesses. Currently, young people represent about 25% of the population of the Republic of Moldova and only about 19% of them are involved in agriculture. Such activities will contribute to informing young people about opportunities in the agricultural sector, maintaining young people in the country (mainly from rural localities), creating jobs and developing socio-economic rural communities.
To ensure the involvement of all young people interested in the training activities and mentoring programs, the APA will establish partnerships with local public authorities and Regional Development Agencies (North, South, Center, Gagauzia). Participants wishing to enroll in the training sessions will be informed by local public authorities and managers of educational institutions.
