More jobs created than liquidated in Moldova in last five years

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/ - The National Employment Agency (ANOFM) today unveiled an analytical note on the demand and supply of labour force in the last five years (2014-2018) according to economic activities and occupations. The study was worked out by the labour market observer of the Agency.
According to ANOFM director, Raisa Dogaru, the study provides details on the discrepancies between the demand and supply of labour force in diverse sectors. The study comprises four major chapters: tendencies of the labour market; demand of labour force in the last five years; characteristic features and tendencies; supply of labour force in the last five years; correlation of the demand and supply.
The data presented in this analytical note shows that, in those five years, a tendency of increase in the number of jobs created was noticed, which exceeds the number of liquidated jobs. Most jobs set up in 2018 were in the following fields: wholesale and retail trade (+8,267); processing industry (+3,707); public administration and defence (+1299); health and social assistance (+1068); constructions (+1038).
The smallest number of jobs was opened in the fields: transport and depositing; agriculture, forestry and fishing; education; scientific and vocational activities.
