Moldovan finance ministry makes public activity report for first 100 days

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Finance Ministry has published the activity report for the first 100 days, which contains the main actions undertaken to achieve the goals set in the government’s action programme.
Thus, on the period November 2029 – February 2020, the government consulted and, respectively, adopted: the fiscal and customs policy for 2020; the state budget law for this year; amendments to the law No 270/2018 on the single salary payment system in the public sector. At the same time, the cabinet redistributed budgetary means to pay the salaries in the public sector, as well as ensured the carrying out of the national public budget and the turning to account of the sources of financing the budget deficit.
According to the report, additionally to the activities stipulated in the government’s activity programme, the Finance Ministry took a string of other measures in the sectors within its competence, such as: simplification of the way of record and calculation of liquidation on fiscal purposes; approval of the regulation on the holding of the Fiscal Lottery; amendment of the normative framework which regulates the work of the service of collecting local taxes and duties at the mayoralty; extending the electronic declaration for the “re-export” customs destination; regulation of the procedure of electronic charging of customs duties on goods, etc.
Also, on the concerned period, the Finance Ministry paid increased attention to the development of the relations with the International Monetary Fund. Another important aspect deals with the development of a pro-active dialogue with business environment’s representatives and other interested sides in the public finances sector, in order to promote a simulating budgetary and fiscal policy for the important sectors of the national economy, the Finance Ministry’s activity report also reads.
