Group of German MPs to visit Moldova

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger.
According to the presidential press service, the sides discussed more subjects on the bilateral relations. Igor Dodon stressed the Moldovan top leadership’s willingness for an open dialogue with the German partners and the European Union on more up-to-date issues.
The head of state highly appreciated his working visit to Munich, where the International Security Conference was held, on the sidelines of which the Moldovan president had over 20 meetings, including with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Igor Dodon informed Angela Ganninger about the fact that he had sent an invitation to Chair of the Munich Security Conference Wolfgang Ischinger to pay a visit to Moldova. Also, the president stressed that the sides agreed on a visit by a group of Bundestag lawmakers to Chisinau, to strengthen the cooperation relations on the parliamentary dimension.
At the same time, the officials noted that a group of German businesspeople from big companies, as well as the executive director of the German Eastern Business Association Michael Harms, with whom the Moldovan president had discussed in Munich to this end, were scheduled to come to Moldova in late next March.
