Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/ - The early spring from the 2020 year, which infringes practically all calendar and meteorological rules, can have a negative impact on people’s health. Cardiologists say that especially people with diseases of the cardiovascular system and chronic diseases are sensitive to such climate disturbances.
According to specialists, the people with diseases of the heart, blood vessels, oncological diseases, the ones with blood pressure problems, neurological, allergic diseases, as well as all patients with chronic diseases, no matter the classification, are most sensitive to climate changes. Elderly people belong to the same category.
„On the period of meteorological non-conformities, when one season is sharply changed by another one or, in general, is excluded from the biological calendar, the diagnostics of people from the risk groups can worsen,’’ physicians from a Chisinau-based health centre have told MOLDPRES.
International statistics sources show that most heart attacks occurred namely on the period of climate anomalies, with tendency of abnormal warming.
At the same time, physicians say that preventive measures can be taken in such a case. ‘’On these periods, it is advisable to reduce the physical efforts, it is recommended to observe exactly the medical prescriptions, to give up harmful products, including the smoking and excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages.’’
Also, specialists signal more data specific for a meteorological crisis. For instance, the average air temperature of the 2019 year was +10.6 +12.2 Celsius degrees in Moldova, exceeding the norm by values between 2.1 and 3.2 Celsius degrees. The State Hydrometeorological Service says that these air temperatures represent a record on most territory of Moldova, and such air temperatures are signaled for the first time on all the period of observations.
At the same time, meteorologists say that ‘’the first month of 2020 was the warmest one in the last 141 years’’ and that ‘’all the year will be extremely warm.”
A new record of air temperature was registered in Antarctica, after researchers noted an air temperature of almost +21 Celsius degrees at the South Pole. Meteorologists say that these records are ‘’incredibly abnormal.’’ While the air temperatures from the eastern and central Antarctica have remained relatively stable, in the western part of this continent, they grow quickly and the warming oceans hit the stability of glaciers.
