Meteorologists inform about Yellow Code of strong wind in Moldova for 24 February

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced Yellow Code of strong wind for 24 February.

According to the meteorologists, gustings of the north-western wind up to 17-22 metres/second, 23-25 metres /second in some regions, are expected on the aforementioned period.

In these conditions, rescuers recommend to avoid places where there are dry trees or objects posing risk of collapsing or high-tension electric wires.

The weather will slightly cool with the wind gusting. Meteorologists said that rains of different intensity were expected all over the country on 24 February. The weather will be dark, cloudy, with air temperature up to +9 Celsius degrees during the day and between 0 and +5 degrees at night.

In case of Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous; the meteorological phenomena forecast are usual for the territory of the country, but can temporarily become dangerous for certain social and economic activities.
