Moldovan speaker paid tribute to victims of 1915 genocide in Yerevan

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii began official visit to Armenia by laying flowers at the Cicernakaberd memorial complex dedicated to the victims of 1915 genocide, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Moldovan parliamentary delegation laid flowers and held a minute of silence in memory of the victims.

Greceanii also visited the Museum-Institute of the Memorial of the victims of genocide.

The speaker is paying an official visit to Armenia, following an invitation of Armenian counterpart Arart Mirzoian. The delegation also includes Gaik Vartanean, head of the Friendship Group with the Republic of Armenia, member of the Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration; Elena Bacalu, head of the commission for social protection, health and family and Vladimir Mizdrenco, member of this commission; Chiril Moţpan, member of the National Security, Defense and Public Order Commission; Adrian Albu, Parliament's Secretary General.
