More than half of beneficiaries of First Home program receive budgetary compensation

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/- Since the launch of the First Home government program, 4063 homes have been purchased through it. More than 50 percent of the total number of beneficiaries receive state aid to partially cover the costs incurred to pay mortgage loan.
The total amount of loans granted by banks is 2,031,216,639.86 lei, while the active assets - 1,015,608,319.93 lei. Out of 4063 beneficiaries 2849 are families, and 1214 - unmarried young people. Their average age is 31.3 years. Also, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 575 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget within the program First Home 2, 1456 - under the program First Home 3, and 279 - the program First Home 4.
The average area of the homes purchased through the Program is 59,962 m.p., while the average value of the homes purchased is 592.0 thousand lei. 3809 homes were purchased in urban areas and 253 in rural ones. 3746 homes purchased are apartments, and 317 - individual dwellings.
As on 24 February, 30 applications are under the analysis stage, another 14 are accepted and the guarantee contracts will be signed, and 16 applications have been submitted for examination. At the same time, 21 guarantees were extinguished due to the early repayment of the loan.
The First Home program was launched in March 2018.
