Moldovan-Lithuanian joint commission for European integration to hold meeting

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi has had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Lithuania Linas Linkeavicius, on the sidelines of the High-Level Segment of the 43rd Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, held in Geneva on 24-26 February, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
The two ministers exchanged opinions on up-to-date subjects of the bilateral relations, as well as prospects for extending the cooperation between the two states. In particular, the sides agreed on organizing bilateral visits during this year, as well as the seventh meeting of the Moldovan-Lithuanian joint commission for European integration, during which aspects on the European integration, as well as the commercial and economic cooperation will be discussed.
In the context, Minister Aureliu Ciocoi informed the interlocutor about the developments of the domestic situation in Moldova and the reforms carried out to implement the Association Agreement with EU. He thanked for the political support and the technical assistance provided by Lithuania to this end.
