Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today informed that the government would limit to 20 per cent the trade markup for medical masks and other personal protection means.
„The government decision No 774 from 20 June 2016 will be amended at the cabinet meeting on 26 February. We will limit the size of the trade markup for medical masks and other personal protection means to 20 per cent. I recommend that the traders with such products “decrease the prices and get down on earth.” According to the information we have, the warehouses of some speculators are full of masks. I recommend them to put them to sale. The State Fiscal Service and the Financial Inspection on 27 February will visit absolutely all drug stores to check the prices. They will verify the stocks available too,” Ion Chicu wrote on facebook.
It is worth mentioning that President Igor Dodon today said that he would take drastic measures against the economic agents which increase the prices for pharmaceutical products because of the coronavirus. “We will act toughly!” the head of state said.
