Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet members, at a today’s meeting, amended a government decision from 2016, thus limiting the trade markup on some pharmaceutical products.
Under the decision, the size of the trade markup for medical masks and other personal protection means will be limited to 20 per cent.
In the context, Prime Minister Ion Chicu warned the traders of medicines and pharmaceutical products not to speculate, especially in alert conditions in connection with the spread of the new-type coronavirus. “The prices for these products are regulated by the state and we will not allow you taking advantage of the emerged situation on personal purposes,” the PM said.
On the last days, the prime minister informed that employees of the State Fiscal Service and Financial Inspection “will visit absolutely all drug stores from the country, in order to verify the prices. They will also check the stocks available.”
"I recommend that the traders with such products decrease the prices and get down on earth. According to the information we have, the warehouses of some speculators are full of masks. I recommend them to put them to sale,” Ion Chicu wrote.
