Cabinet rules to start talks on Moldovan-French economic convention

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet, at a today’s meeting, ruled to initiate negotiations on a draft convention between the governments of Moldova and France on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion as to the income taxes.  

The institution in charge of the negotiation and signing of the draft convention is the Finance Ministry. The period and place of the talks will be established afterwards, depending on the agenda of the sides involved.   

The convention between the governments of Moldova and France on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion as to the income taxes has the goal to develop the economic relations between the two states. At the same time, the document is set to favour and attract foreign investments.  

Presently, Moldova enforces conventions on the avoidance of double taxation with 50 states.
