Four minibus routes, one bus route to connect to Chisinau Arena

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/- Mayor Ion Ceban said that Chisinau municipality is assessing the possibility to extend two access roads and to modify four routes of minibuses and one of buses in order to easily reach the multifunctional sports complex Arena Chisinau.
Ion Ceban, together with Deputy Mayor Angela Cutasevici and several city councilors, on Wednesday, visited the sports complex Arena Chisinau, which is due to open in May.
The administration of the capital together with the representatives of the sports federations and the managers of the Arena Chisinau discussed the need for cooperation in order to use the spaces of this building, the development of the neighborhood around the complex, as well as to overcome the infrastructure problems to ensure the access of people to the multipurpose objective.
Ceban said that the municipality is evaluating the possibility to extend two access roads to the multifunctional sports complex – Mircea cel Batran bd. – to Bucovinei str., Ciocana district, and Calea Orheiului, Rascani district. Also, the itineraries of five public transport routes - minibuses No166, 123, 140, 195 and 5 – will be extended.
The Arena Chisinau complex is located on a plot of 10 ha, near Stăuceni. The building is planned for sports activities such as basketball, volleyball, handball, mini football, etc. The multifunctional complex includes an aquapark, fitness rooms, swimming pools for training and sports competitions, seven open tents for tennis.
