Moratorium on law on citizenship through investments to be discussed in parliament

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/- Moratorium on the Law on citizenship through investments will be discussed in parliament on Friday. The document was included on the agenda of the plenary sessions on Thursday.

Also today, the MPs asked the cabinet to present information on the number of people who received citizenship through investments, and the number of applications under examination. At the same time, possible solutions for this topic should be presented.

The lawmakers asked the authorities to make public the names of the people who have already obtained the citizenship of Moldova through investments.

At yesterday's meeting, the government approved a draft on a new moratorium on the Law on citizenship through investments until January 1, 2021.
