Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/ - The vulnerable families will benefit from free of charge convertors for the digital terrestrial television.
The Chisinau city hall informs that the socially disadvantaged families, which benefit from social assistance, can submit applications to receive free of charge convertors for the digital terrestrial television.
The applications will be sent in written form till 20 March to the community social assistant from the settlement where the beneficiary of social assistance has his/her residence. The applications of the beneficiaries will include the declarations on their own responsibility of the applicants on the fact that their families have earlier not asked for free of charge endowment with convertor for the digital terrestrial television.
The distribution of the apparatus for the reception of digital signal is made in line with the provisions of a cabinet decision from 12 February 2020, which sets the way of distribution of apparatus of certain disadvantaged categories of the population.
Moldova in 2006 signed international commitments, under which it committed till 2015 to make transition from the analog terrestrial television to the digital one. The Moldovan authorities had more terms for the enforcement of this commitment; the last deadline is 1 March 2020.
