ACUM bloc submitted simple motion on policies made by Ministry of Economy

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/- Parliamentary factions Platform DA and PAS today submitted a simple motion on policies made by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.

MPs say that the management of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure would have violated the law on public procurement in tenders for the road rehabilitation works in the Republic of Moldova.

They say that the announcements on the tenders aimed at the repair of four major sections, with the value of the contracts exceeding 90 million lei, have not been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, as provided by the legislation.

The members of the ACUM bloc demand the cancellation of tenders on road repair in Moldova, the warnings of MEI regarding these irregularities, the presentation in Parliament of the strategy on rehabilitation of roads for 2020-2030, as well as the resignation of Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Anatol Usatîi.

The text of the simple motion was submitted to the speaker and it is to be debated within 14 days in parliament. The simple motion is submitted to the debate and is accompanied by the approval of the standing committee. The approval is made within 7 working days from the date of the motion submission.
