National bank of Moldova to unveil report in parliament till 1 April 2020

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The National Bank of Moldova (BNM) till 1 April 2020 will present in parliament a report on the lawfulness, way and distribution and use of the emergency loans provided for Banca de Economii (Savings Bank) stock company, Banca Sociala commercial bank and Unibank stock company commercial bank. The lawmakers adopted a decision to this effect today.

Also today, the MPs amended the decision adopted in 2019 on the report of the inquiry commission for the elucidation of all circumstances of the embezzlement of the banking system from Moldova and investigation of the bank fraud.

The draft’s author was MP Vladimir Golovatiuc, who says that, given that the work of BNM and the commercial banks cannot be subjected to control on behalf of the Finance Ministry, BNM itself is to unveil the concerned report.
