Border policeman infected with COVID-19

Chisinau, 20 March /MOLDPRES/- A policeman, who was working at the border, was infected with COVID-19. President Igor Dodon made the statement at a TV show.
"I want to thank doctors, policemen, who are on the front line. You have seen we already have a policeman who is infected. He was at border, receiving our citizens, ” he said.
The head of state said that according to latest information, 469 people have been investigated so far and in 49 cases the virus has been confirmed. "If we make a calculation, we see that 10-11% of cases are confirmed," said Igor Dodon.
The parliament on Tuesday approved the decision on declaring the state of emergency throughout Moldova on 17 March - 15 May 2020.
During the state of emergency, the National Commission for Emergencies issues provisions for the implementation of several measures, which are obligatory and enforceable for heads of central and local public administration authorities, economic agents, public institutions, as well as for citizens and others.
