Medical employees involved in treating patients with COVID-19 to receive higher salaries

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ - The medical employees directly involved in the treatment and diagnosing of COVID-19 cases will receive one more position salary. Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu today made statements to this effect after a meeting of the single command centre for the management of the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 virus.
According to Dumbraveanu, both physicians and other employees of the system will receive one more office salary this month. She urged the citizens to help physicians and present truthful information about the people they had contacted with, as well as the destinations visited on the last period.
Attending the meeting, President Igor Dodon said that 80 official reports for the infringement of authorities’ decisions had been compiled on the last days. Thus, 50 persons, as well as 30 economic agents were fined. Dodon urged the citizens especially the elderly ones, not to leave their homes without urgent need, noting that, starting from today, servicemen would help policemen in the process of maintaining the order and ceasing the spread of COVID-19.
On 23 March, the Commission for Emergency Situations issued 40 decisions meant to restrict the movement of citizens in public places, as well as the agglomeration.
