Seventy five people infected with COVID-19 treated in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 1,458 cases of infection with COVID-19 have been registered in Moldova so far. A number of 120 of them are of import and 1,338 - with local transmission. Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu today made statements to this effect at a news briefing.
According to Dumbraveanu, there are 153 people in serious condition; more than 500 are of medium gravity. ‘’We have 12 people at artificial breathing; six ones are put in the Republican Clinical Hospital and another six – at the Emergency Medicine Institute,’’ Dumbraveanu noted.
The official also said that 95 cases of COVID-19 had been recorded on the left bank of Dniester. She urged the citizens to observe the authorities’ recommendations in the week-end and to leave the homes only in urgent need.
State of emergency is declared in Moldova on the period 17 March – 15 May 2020, given the coronavirus pandemic. More settlements from Stefan Voda, Hancesti and Soroca were placed in quarantine regime; the exits and entries in these settlements are blocked.
